Lisa Costner (BA '84, JD '87) currently works as an Assistant Federal Public Defender in the Middle District of North Carolina. Prior to her employment with the Federal Public Defender’s Office, she was a solo practitioner practicing mainly in the area of criminal defense for 25 years. Lisa is a Board-Certified Specialist in Criminal Law, both State and Federal. She is also a Board-Certified Specialist in Criminal Appellate Law.

She has taught Trial Practice Lab at the Wake Forest School of Law as an adjunct professor since 2014.
