Jason Weinstein is a partner at Steptoe LLP, where he concentrates his practice on white-collar criminal defense and government and internal investigations.
Prior to joining Steptoe, Jason served as a Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Division of the US Department of Justice, where he led the Division’s cybercrime, transnational organized crime, human rights, IP crime, and gang programs.
Jason previously served for 10 years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York and the District of Maryland. In the District of Maryland, he served as Assistant Chief of the Criminal Division and as Chief of the Violent Crime Section, where he developed and co-led Baltimore’s EXILE program, a multi-agency strategy that led to historic reductions in violent crime in the city.
